Congrats on finding my Blog, I hope you find something useful lurking in the jumbled mess which is such an accurate extension of my own mind!
I wanted to put in a disclaimer early on so no-one could accuse me of pretending to be something I'm not, I'm a Houdini user, I'm not an expert, I'm not a developer or CS guy, I've never worked for SideFX and have no inside track on secret voodoo knowledge. I'm definitely approaching this as someone who has learned Houdini the hard way, through trial and error and teaching myself and learning from colleagues.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't take any of my writings as gospel truth, if I explain something I'm doing it through the lens of my own limited understanding. If I show a particular way of doing something it doesn't mean it's the only way, the best way or even the right way, it's just my way.
And finally I want to emphasize that I'm learning as I go, I'm constantly figuring out new and better ways to solve a problem and actually part of the reason I wanted to start this blog was to document my own research and discoveries so I won't forget them next time I have to solve a similar problem.
So with that in mind I'd ask in advance for your forgiveness should I ever lead you astray.
